Cookie Policy

This page describes the cookie and browser-storage behavior of the current Electric Charge Guide application.

Current application behavior

The current application does not intentionally set advertising cookies or analytics cookies, and it does not contain an active Google AdSense ad unit. The calculator does not require an account and its selections are processed in the browser. Static site-verification metadata and ads.txt records may be present, but they do not by themselves load advertising or create an advertising cookie.

What a cookie is

A cookie is a small value a website or third-party service can ask a browser to store and return with later requests. Browser local storage is a related but separate mechanism. The current site should not imply that advertising or analytics storage is active when it is not.

Hosting and third-party sites

The hosting/network layer processes normal web requests to deliver the site. External sites linked from our guides may set their own cookies or use other browser storage under their own policies after you visit them.

If advertising or analytics are enabled later

If Electric Charge Guide activates Google AdSense, analytics or another technology that changes browser storage or tracking behavior, this policy and the deployed consent controls will be updated to match the actual implementation before that technology is relied on. Google currently requires publishers serving personalized ads in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland to use a Google-certified consent management platform integrated with the IAB Europe Transparency & Consent Framework; any future AdSense setup for those audiences should follow the requirements in force at the time.

Browser controls

Most browsers let you view, delete or block cookies and site storage. Those controls also apply to third-party sites you choose to visit.
